BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 incorporates changes from the first amendment. Additional changes within the second amendment include:
> Protection against thermal effects and fire caused by electrical equipment.
> Protection against voltage disturbances and electromagnetic disturbances.
> Look at the requirements of BS 7430 Code of practice for protective earthing of electrical installations and how to apply them.
> A new chapter on prosumer & low-voltage electrical installations covering energy efficiency measures.
> The interface with the smart grid.
> The management of electricity consumption.
> The management of renewable sources of electricity, and energy storage.
Registration is now closed
BS 7671:2018+A1:2O2O is being withdrawn on 27th September 2022. All your electrical installations, therefore, must comply with BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 [brown book] from 28th September 2022.
